The best advice is to be honest on the application. They will thoroughly investigate applicants before accepting them in the program. Job history, credit, family stability, ability to provide the required physical sweat equity, and other factors will all be considered.

Good luck with your application.

I live in a Habitat House that is now paid for. They judge you on need, credit history, and income. You also have to help build the house(sweat equity). Contrary to popular belief Caucasians do get Habitat homes. We have 50 families in our town, 35 of the home owners are Caucasian. Our first home owners were white.

Hard to say what would disqualify a person. You can bet there is something that trips the trigger for rejection.

They may have income limits. Tell them the truth. I also think that you and/or your family members must put in a certain amount of "sweat equity" into volunteering to help w/ other people's houses as part of it as well.

Well I have yet to see where they have built any homes for Caucasians so you figure it out from there.
