Well there seems to be more finality in The Curse of the Black Pearl because we are led to believe that Will gets the girl (Elizabeth) but in The Dead Man's Chest we see her kissing Jack Sparrow and wonder if she is doing it because she is falling for Jack or is trying to make Will Jealous, so it leaves us with a bit of uncertainty.

I LOVED the POTC 2 !!!!!!!!!! and it makes me want to watch the first one now ... AND I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP !!!! He's SO funny in this movie !!! he could capture me anytime !!!! 'now where is that monkey, i need to shoot something!' what i saw of the first one looked pretty good.. not sure until i actually see the whole movie [POTC :the curse of the black pearl]

1 is better... it stands on it's own as a film.
2 may have been fun... but you need to see 1 to understand a lot of it... and you need to see 3 to make 2 complete.

i definetly enjoyed the first one because the second one had no plot and it wasnt as funny as the first. johnny depp and orlando and keira definetly did a much better job in the first.
