Depends on what kind of animal Fifi is... If Fifi is an albino mongoose (which I am assuming it is ;) you will have no problems. As the albino mongoose is the arch nemesis of the ostrich.
It all dates back to the big battle of the albino hill in 1342 bce. They were bleak times and the ostrich had free reign over the albino mongoose and made them perform all the slave duties, disgraceful really. But Albino Al changed all of that the one day he formed the rogue Albino Onslaught team. They were trained in every mongoose Ninja art...
The ostriches did not stand a chance and after a long and bloody battle in 1346 bce Al and his ninja squadron nibbled their way through to the Ostrich leader Bob. Bob's death was quick but painful via an acorn to the buttocks. Al proclaimed that from that day forth Albino mongooses would be free!
To this day the Ostriches are deathly frightened and you will have no problems as long as our little Fifi has control of the house.
if Fifi is anything but an Albino Mongoose though, you are simply buggered and your house will be swarming with the cheeky varmints!!

That all depends on if Fifi is your poodle or your bulimic giraffe. If she's your poodle, get yourself some Purina ostrich food, set it approximately twelve to eighteen inches inside your doggie door, and wait patiently with a meat cleaver or other large hatchet-type instrument. Voila! Your Thanksgiving dilemma is solved! Tell all the vegans they're eating a lavishly expensive imported tofurkey and be doubly rewarded. You can feel just like Hannibal Lecter when he was serving that bad flautist to the Baltimore Philharmonic Orchestra.
I'm really not sure if chianti is the best choice of wine for an ostrich, though. I'd probably go with a white zinfandel. And leave out the fava beans because they look so much like ostrich turds.

Well.. of course an ostrich will NOT be able to come into the house via the pet door.. the only problem you would have is with an ostrich eating your little Fifi.. that is your problem that you may have.

Where do you live-not that common to see ostriches roaming around. It would be difficult for a ostrich to get through a pet door considering they are largaer than the common dog and then there'd be the problem with the long neck. Instead I'd be wary of possums, armadillos but most of all rats, mice and stray dogs.

Those festering beasties are COVERED in parasitic varmints!! You DO NOT want them shaking their filthy tailfeathers and oversized penises anywhere NEAR your vicinity!
I would not even be surprised if they took an appitite to poor Fifi after a nip or two!
Those mutated penguins need to be dealt with by your local vector control experts. ELIMINATE them...and THEN both you and Fifi can relax until the NEXT relentless migration occurs!
Good Luck!

No, my place had that problem. They would poke their heads through and look around, but they wont be able to fit in, because they are too big. If they travel in bands, they might fight outside your door for the right to look through, but that's not likely.

yeah,
we had a problem with them last year.
They would come in through the doggie door and poop all over the place. It was horrible. When you ran into the kitchen you would skid all over the place on the poop.

I fear it will be so. They love lemon drop cookies... and pecking at the living dead.
