Depending on they brand of test you get and it's sensitivity, you may be able to detect pregnancy up to 5 days before your missed period. Most doctors say you should wait until 14 days post ovulation. Hope this helps you some, good luck!

An early pregnancy test can detect the pregnancy hormone up to 5 days before your missed period. However I would wait till after you have missed your period.
