My first sarcastic thought was they become bus drivers, but in reality, if someone loves gardening, they would never retire from at least doing their own yard!

My Grandfather was a judge at Chelsea & was head groundman at a local sport centre, and was the first person to get an orange tree to produce edible oranges in the UK. Anyway when he retired he rented an alotment and grew his own food. then when he became to ill to do it himself then neighbours used to do it for him, but he would say what was needed to be done with what.
