Complaining and questioning company decisions will get you fired before anyone else. If you like the job, do you job. If this person is poor management material, it will show without your help.

It's only a rumour, so be careful what you say! Make enquiries about your promotional prospects with senior management (sounding keen!), but also start looking for something else in case it doesn't pan out. Don't tell them your looking elsewhere, but if they find out tell them you want something with better prospects, or if you are offered something you'd be interested in have a word with senior management before you resign to see if you can get a better (and written in stone) deal from them.

I do wonder thought if this 18 year old has 'connections', or maybe s/he has some dirt on somebody higher up the food chain? Connections are difficult to deal with, but if you can find out the dirt......

Lastly, don't tell anybody to p**s off - you can think it all you want, but you just never know when you might need them again in the future.

Good luck!

I would go to someone who is familiar with your work and ask them to tell you honestly what they think of your work. I would then ask your supervisor or whoever is in charge of your positions why you are being passed up for promotions.
Do not be defensive! Think of it as constructive criticism. They must have reasons, and as soon as you know them you can begin to improve your performance.

The bloom is off the rose. Start looking for another job. Try to line up people at your current job you could use as references.

Ah..you probably did not do something, nor did they. basically element incorrect right here became your reaction. You took it for my section . whilst it became not meant to be so. they only did not prefer to bypass out atm, they needed to do exactly as they informed you,and you probably did not get it,you compelled them, and made them sense uncomfortable. you may desire to have in simple terms gave them a hug,and permit or not it fairly is,enable them to appreciate i'm right here in case you may desire to talk so long. If the habit persevered then you definitely could understand there became some thing incorrect and yous might desire to talk approximately it.

maybe they think this 18 year old is more of a responsible person? if not and you believe you can do better at management, why not ask the boss if you can compete for that job.

You lost me at 'department store chain'. Try to be more conscise in a sassy way, use shorter sentences and more pauses in your speech. It might just do the trick?
