I've seen employers hire people fresh out of college to supervise employees they've had working for them for 10-15 years. I've seen students coming out of college with no work experience given preference for positions over workers who've been in the field for over 25 years. Have you ever had to train a new boss/supervisor for a better position, with better pay than you have? why?

I don't know the answer, but have been seen the same thing. Most of the fresh out of college students do not even know how to do the job that they got their degree in. Times have changed. Working for someone for years does not matter any more. Just if you have a degree behind you. Loyalty does not exist any more.

Because the people coming out of college have fresh ideas and are typically more intelligent and more prepared for the changing workforce, especially if many of these job roles will be outsourced or automated. Also, if you hire a fresh college recruit, then they're more productive than the uncaring, uneducated employee nearing retirement.

Emplyers look for securities, they need to depend on someone and feel that a person with a degree has proven himself/herself. Of course, that is not true per se. Make your mark, get noticed.
