Many's the time I heard single people say "I will never_________ like my parents do." And so when they are parents this is what they do. Why are people surprised? There is no manual for raising children to follow, it's all free flow. Two people join and raise a child, hopefully a compromise is made to the benefit of the child, because they need discipline and structure. Of course these terms scare many as dictatorial, not loving. Many adults feel being a friend or play mate is being a parent - then they learn it's not.

There is alot a reasons 4 dat.Some parents think if they put their foot down, the kids will hate them.Some believe that their parents were hard on them and they dnt want to be that way and as a result, they can't discipline their kids.Then u have the parents who simly have no control over their children.In all actuality, they prefer not 2 think of letn their kids run loose as"running all over them" they say "I just want Billly to express himself" Yeah like thatz really goin to benefit him later in life

That's what happens when we listen to the few. Some parents do abuse their children, but not all parents. Because the abused cannot distinguish between a spanking and BEATING, we are no longer to discipline our children as we see fit, for fear of falsely being charged, so in turnabout, parents go from one extreme to the other. As a child my dad would spank me and my brother, I have spanked my kids, But I also know my dads fuery, have felt his fist. Two different things, sircumstances surrounding was different, I know/knew the difference. He never mixed the two, never disciplined in anger. And, two different times in my life, as a child and teenager.

One of my pet peeves. What's worse is that these same parents let their kids run all over everyone else too. They need their backsides tanned - and so do the kids. lol

Gee, I wish parents had known that! I couldn't get away with squat and spent most of my high school years grounded without phone privileges.

CUZ PARENTS BOTH IF YOU HAVE 2 WRK FT AND IF ONLY 1 REALLY HAS TO BUST BUTT..TO PROVIDE AND THEY FEEL GUILTY FOR ALWAYS WORKING AND STILL STRUGGELING
