Yes... the man who created 007 James Bond was the same man that wrote "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." Ian Fleming...

Interestingly though.... Roald Dahl who wrote the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" also wrote the screenplay for "Chitty..."

AND... Roald Dahl wrote the screenplay for the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice."
