Yes there are. Probably Christian magazines. Unfortantly you can not escape the Vanity and Idolatry, however just be a non participant and kill your TV.

The objective of most major magazines is to appeal to their target audience. When you ask for magazines for teen girls- makeup, boys, celebrities, and tips on dieting is pretty much all you will get. You sound like a mature individual who wants to get more out of reading- so my suggestion to you is to read a different series of magazines; or maybe even some human interest stories? There are all kinds of magazines out there for things that interest you- music, dance, art, science, whatever your interest(s) may be they will probably have one. I'm glad that you aren't as shallow and vain as many of the other teenage girls out there today- who needs those pretentious girly magazines anyways? There's a whole world of intellectual magazines out there that are just waiting to be read.
* I am very glad that you don't condone the deterioration of the intelligence of our future generation through these magazines. They teach us how to care less about important things, and care more about superficial things that wont even matter 10 years from now.

Teen Voices.
There used to be Hues. I think it's dead now.
Long long ago, there was Sassy.
And for younger girls (pre-teens) there is New Moon.
Check in the back of Ms. Magazine for possibly more. Also check the back of Utne magazine for some leads.

of course not, that's the whole point of those mags and it's damn sad. do yourself a favor and read something with depth and intelligence like Time, Newsweek, and personal finance and investing mags. You might start a trend!Rolling Stone actually has damn good journalism as does Wired. peace and good luck.
PS Even if it's not on your required reading list pick up "Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas: by Hunter Thompson WITHOUT getting the movie first. " On The Road" by Jack Kerouac is also a classic.

To be thoroughly truthful; it relies upon. maximum of girls folk placed on makeup to boost their attractiveness extra. some in simple terms placed on too plenty... And c'mon be truthful... there are a number of women that adult males drool over that placed on makeup. rather some circumstances they are able to't even tell... a good number of girls folk certainly look extra suited with makeup reckoning on the way it fairly is performed, yet human beings are too afraid or variety to confess it. it would sound mean even though it fairly is the reality. yet everybody is pleasing regardless with or without it.

Well, Brio is a Christian teen girls magazine, so it probably has less of that stuff, but it is a bit over the top sometimes.
