Blood in the stool can be a symptom of many things
1. If you were straining or constipated, it may have irritated your rectum, but that usually not that much blood.
2. Hemorrhoids are a possibility but usually not associated with diarrhea
3. Other intestinal diseases.
4. Something you have have eaten could cause irritation to the bowels like anything with seeds.
5. Is it possible its not blood, and some sort of food dye?
Since you are young, chances are its not cancer. It could we one of the 5 things mentioned above. Pay attention to your bowels and see if you have any other symptoms along with just the bloody diarrhea. If this happens again, i would definitely recommend seeing a specialist who can do a variety of tests to determine what exactly is going on with your digestive tract. How old are you? I have had this same stuff happen and I am 15. There is nothing to be embarrassing about it. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or want to know anything.

Bloody diarrhea is usually caused by either irritation from a hemmorhoid or it could be caused by colitis. See your doctor. If it is a hemmorhoid, usually it is bright red in the stool. may be a lot of the "poop" or a little bit, depending on how bad the hemmorhoid is. If it is colitis, it usually is streaked thru the stool and either a red or burgundy red. Sometimes it is accompanied by a stomach ache and mucus in the 'poop"
You need to go to the doctor and find out what you have. They will examine your stools and probably refer you to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy.
Good luck and hope you go to the doctor.

There's really no age limit to when a person gets colon cancer, but don't think of that right now. What I would suggest is, go to your doctor and he/she will probably do a rectal exam and possibly send you to a specialist for a colonoscopy. I had one last year for the same symptoms. What they found in me was colitis "inflammation of the colon" and what they called a hemaglioma (not sure of the correct spelling) but what that is is an accumulation of blood vessels that come together and if they get disturbed by even the slightest touch, they can bleed profusely. Hemorrhoids are also a possibility and the doctor will be able to tell that by doing a rectal exam.
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Blood in th stool is the sign of a problem--what the problem is cannot be determined without seeing a physician. It could be cancer, it could even be from straining due to constipation. You cannot decide its not cancer based on your age and you should not wait to see a doctor. Go now, get it checked out.
You can tell something about he cause by the color of the blood-is it bright red, maroon or black? The darker the blood the further up the intestines is the source/the longer its been in the intestines. Are there any other symptoms? There are lots of things to consider here. So get yourself to a doctor.

If you don't have hemorrhoids, then you really should tell your Dr. You should tell anyway, but i can understand your embarrassment. If the blood looks bright red, like when you cut yourself, then you probably have hemorrhoids up inside(not all are on the outside). and other than the discomfort, you will probably be fine, till they get to the point where you can't stand them. If the blood is dark, like it's old blood, then you really need to get to a Doctor, or if you ever have what looks like "coffee grounds" small little specks that actually look like coffee grounds, get to the Doctor a.s.a.p. GOOD LUCK TO YOU

please get over your embarrassment and get to the doctor immediately. That's what doctors are for. Bloody diarrhea sounds serious. could be a bad bacterial infection. Don't play with your health. Go get some medical care

first of all if you have eaten anything red or drank anything red that could be the problem, if not then it could be diverticulosis, do you have diarrhea alot or is it sometimes, do you have regular bowel habits, is the blood bright or dark red? these are things the doctor or nurse would ask you, there are several diseases/disorders that could cause it and you should really get checked if it continues good luck to you and please get checked out early if it continues
