Well sure, if you really like them. The ones that don't come up as high or more versatile and I've seen preppy girls at my school wearing them. Especially in colors like pink or preppy colors they're fine I think.

Grow up and get a life!!
There are so many other important things to worry about other than how you look or what you have.
You might care now because you think "Oh my God!! Its school!" NOBODY cares what you look like. Prep??? FYI honey, you may think you are, but really not very many people probably truly like you, because they dont know the real you.
Honestly ,... I know you care because its high school but once you run into the real world and dont depend on Mommy and Daddy, ( which I realize might be a while before you dont) NOBODY cares!!!!! You become your own self, your own support system. Yes it does feel good to look nice but let me tell you it doesnt matter what brand of clothing you sweat in because nobody cares. You dont need to have the latest thing. You dont need top of the line brand name clothing. If you dont see my point you see it in a few years after college maybe when your out on your own! Its not the funnest lesson to learn, nither is how tough it really is to support youself (alone no help) but we dont have time for that today. Have a nice day!!

do whatever you want- but if you're asking strangers for advice- maybe you should be more sure of yourself before you wear shoes like that with a preppy outfit- confidence is what makes a person beautiful

If other preps in your school do - then it is OK. Otherwise, you need to be the head prep in your school and then every other prep follows your example. Do you need acceptance of your peers. If so follow or lead with them. I always do what I want to do and do not fit in anywhere. That can be hard for me at times, but overall, it makes me happier to just be who I am and not influenced by what others think.

If your the kind of prep like at my school... the only people that will care a your friends. Noone ealse will care XD
And if your not the type prep that is at my school ( When it just comes to the type of clothes ) Bad idea.

you can buy a pair,
and wear them when you're not
wearing a $75 polo shirt from abercrombie
and a $300 coach bag.
don't, under any circumstances,
wear them with bermuda shorts
(they look ridiculous anyway)
and don't get a pink pair
or knockoffs
because that will just reinforce
that you don't know anything
about what you're wearing.

Uhm, converse isn't for one type of "fashion clique". The ghetto/thugettes wear them, the goths wear them, the preps wear them, the surfers wear them, EVERYBODY wears them. ITS A UNIVERSAL SHOE!

what type of preppy are you? im the abercrombie/holister/american eagle type. but i dont shop at abercrombie or holister.
i dont like those trashy preppies. its so weird

I'm not a prep, but I think you should buy them, they are sold to everyone...it doesn't say for goth only on the tag....u wear them and be proud.
