Will it be awkward?

I'm meeting daniel, a boy I've been talking to on the internet and phone for about 7 months, in person. He lives in germany, I live in california.
He is flying over for a month just to see me.
When we first meet, eye to eye, will it be awkward?

not really, just shake hands and say hi im , nice to meet you. then just ask how was his journey and stuff..

yes. especially if he or u doesn't look like a picture. once a guy was flying from ireland to meet me. he had gorgeous picture - he was into bodybuilding, so great body. and he said he was my height. when i saw him in airport i was shocked - short, stocky pimple covered guy. i was so shocked i couldn't talk for some minutes, after i regained my speaking ability i said "u don't look lik eyour picutre" he said "so do i look better or worse?" what a dope. anyway, don't put so many hopes on that meeting and try to prepare yourself of being disappointed. in that case when u meet him and he sucks it won't be a shock and if u meet him and he is gorgeous - what a pleasant surprise. good luck

You definitely have more guts than I would have. It may be awkward, and then again it may be very natural when you meet face to face. You already know which interests you both share, so plan something that you would both enjoy on his first day here so your conversation will be easy going. dont overthink it, itl make you more nervous than you have to be.

youve got nothing to be nervous about, its more difficult to talk on the phone than anything and if youve done that for as long as you have then theres no worry.

i mean hes flying all that way just to see you, so id pretty much say he likes you!

Both my sisters met thier boyfriends over the internet. I suppose it depends on how well you already know each other. He's probably just as worried about it as you. Have you asked him ?

it wont be awkward trust me ive done it if u r a good communicator u can talk all you want and u wont find anything wrong think of it as talkin to one of ur mates if youve known him for 7 months then i think you will both know what to talk about!!! good luck xo

there should be nothing to worry about if you have both been truthful but take someone with you just to be on the safe side
