You aren't supposed to even replace it for 8-12 weeks. If you go back to the piercing place they can probably replace it with a clear one but it will probably irritate it even more. Be careful putting your helmet on, rub it the wrong way and it will hurt. Mine took 6 months to heal.

Well, it's not really a good idea to play sports with earrings in. I've heard of people who got their earring ripped all the way through their ear while playing sports.. maybe studs are better but I don't know. I'd think it would be ok to just take them out for a few hours at a time though..?

u shou;d have known u cant play sports with jewery cuz it sounds like u didnt just get your ear pierced and think i should play sports
i got my ears pirced and was playing soccer so i took the ear rings out for the game and put them right back in after
now i just stopped wearing them altoether. i dunno it just got kinda annoying taking them out all the time , and then id lose them
iwould go against what refs say especially if its clear cuz then its like u were trying to hide it and deberitly braoke the rules not just forgot

you really can't take it out and leave it out for a while but to change jewelry it will be fine. Go to your local mall and find a kiosk that has it. Hot topic, claire's very easy to find. If you are freaking out about taking it out cut out a piece of band-aid and put it over it to cover it.

go 2 the mall hot topic they sell clear plastic...it may b uncomfortable 2 change it sooner, just b careful.keep it clean.
or go 2 a different peicing shop than the 1 that did it & tell them U hav had it for longer than U hav...ask them 2 change it out 4 U....this can make it sore longer...not ruin it.....

Check out your local mall - they're should be a place that can give you a plastic one - if not thread a very strong fishing line in - knot it on both sides......that will keep it from closing up.

I usually put a band aid over mine. It looks stupid, but it is better than getting them ripped out during the game, or not even playing.
