Why in the world do women have to pay for feminine products (as in tampons and pads) when we didn't even ask to have a freakin' period! Same goes for birth control. If everyone is so worried about having babiea, why give out free condoms (when I'm sure most guys don't use them anyway) why not give out free birth control (besides the dang shots that screw you up for life anyway).

Women don't have to pay for feminine products such as tampons and pads, many menstrual options are far cheaper such as menstrual cups, or some options are free such as toilet paper or free-flow. Women choose to pay for tampons and pads, thus why they are considered luxury items, because they very much are. There are far more important things that are paid for, or perhaps should be free – take for example food – why on earth do we pay for food? Because money is the means in which we acquire things, it is what makes the world go around, if we were to start making luxury items like tampons free then we would have to do the same for things such as food.
FYI menstrual options such as tampons cost a lot more given their health and environmental impact.

Women can also choose birth control options that are free, here in the UK birth control is free, but if in the US then women (and men) have the option to use birth control methods such as abstinence or Fertility Awareness Methods – these cost as much as a basic basal body temperature thermometer – not sure on price in the US but in the UK you can pick one up for as little as £1.

i agree with this to some extent, i hate having periods... mine are always very painful and heavy for the first 3-4 days... i always ask myself why me? and why us women? i cant even imagine going through birth... doesnt really seem fair that guys dont have to worry about anything except walking around with an erection and having yet dreams (oooooo big deal) guys really do have it easier.... but i dunno i guess we dont really have a choice, really sucks. because i dont do a lot of activities because of my period, i quit chorus i never do sports, because i cant handle it when its so heavy, i guess we just have to pull threough, and show how strong we are to those guys :D
