I started college at 21 also and i am 24 now. I obtained my associates degree and am half way through my next degree. I have found it to be interesting and fun. I am almost the youngest in most my classes also. You wouldnt believe the older people starting college really really late in their future. I had a classmate who was 74. Now is as good as any so have fun with it...

Hi
Im 20 and a junior in college. I started college as a freshmen when I was 18. And in my classes right now there are adults as old as my parents that are in my classes.
You will not have the same experiences that I went through because you would be a lot older than the rest of the freshmen but at least you're giving school another chance. so good for you.

First of all, older people tend to take their studies more seriously than 18 year olds, so you will have a definite advantage. Also, I think most employers would prefer to hire a mature 26 year old over a 21 year old with no experience. GO FOR IT!

But most of the jobs are particular about maturity and not so concern about age. Your average 18 year old. Will work for anything. As you will be more mature, more companies will be more adapt to look at you and hire you. Than that young 21 year old is still immature and hopping from job to job.
maturity over young always wins

I dont think too many employers look at the age you graduated from college when they are hiring. Who knows they may ask what you did from age 18-21 prior to school, but I doubt that would disqualify you from a job.

I actually think that there is a great deal of benefit in beginning college at your age. The average college freshman doesn't take their education very seriously. At 21, you are not going to college simply because everybody else is doing it, you are going because you have made a conscious decision to further your education. Not only will you benefit from this academically, but future prospective employers will find your maturity appealing.
Congratulations, and good luck!
