I worked in a factory for 6 years. The only reason I quit was because I kept getting laid off. The money was real good but that only working 6 months out of a year $h it got old.

I worked in a factory. It wasn't the best job I've ever had, but it wasn't anywhere near the worst either. The money was good and I worked with real hardworking people. The lazy people are not the ones in factories. The problem is that there is a whole class of lazy unskilled people that don't work at all.

in my younger days i did piece work ,you can't be lazy or you don't make any money. semi- unskilled yeah, but it put food on the table. Our govt. doesn't fund good education so there are a lot of ignorant young folk who cant find even a crappy factory job because wto, nafta ,gatt, greedy corps. who don't even want to pay minimum wage to an American because they can make a penny more hiring Bangladeshis. now that's unpatriotic! I can't wait for the outcry when they send CEO,s and upper management jobs overseas.only THEN will it become 'bad for the economy ' . yeah rich folks economy

When I was in college I worked in several factories .
Not exactly fun work , but it was a check .
I work for Iomega and we assembled optical drives ,and the minute it went over seas the quality went to zero .
They lost at least 70 % of there business within 2 years

BTW They treated us like Cr*p , so I can Imagine what its like over seas .
I drove by the old building its now cisco
