I have heard in the news that most people in Iran are actually Pro-Western ..but the regime is like China's - who dont want the people to use the Internet & see sites like Yahoo Answers .. Or has the naughty Mr Murdoch & Mr Turner got it all wrong.. and the Iranian people are all Mad Mullahs..

There is someone who posts here who says they are in Iran. If this is true, then they are using it, permitted or not.

No, you have the right idea - Internet usage is very common and frequent in Iran. I don't know how censored it is, but I know that people play hip-hop in their homes and aren't bothered unless they play too loud (which invites serious trouble) - I suspect Internet in the home is the same way.

DEFINITELY true that the Iranian citizenry are pro-Western and are probably the most pro-American populace in Southwest Asia.

Certainly. The Iranians are a highly intelligent and civillised nation with an appalling problemwith male dominated, tribal religious attitudes. You only have to look at the madness of saome American churches to see how dangerous religion can be for the free thinking or the intelligent. They need our help and support not threats of bombs and armies
