It depends on your IQ. Friends, I believe, will advise you only for the betterment of your life. If anybody does the opposite, he is not a friend at all. At the same time, you care for the words of your enemies as well. Because most of the times, your enemies advise you on the contrary only, trying to misguide you. If you do not want to get yourself involved in any untoward incident or situation, I bet, you care your enemies words. Now, read my opening statement. You are your own best judge.

I haven't any of one so that I may never feel the effects of the other.

I am my own best friend and my own worst enemy.

We are born alone and we die alone... Enemies can't harm or hate us and friends cant console or help us. In the moment life ends we gain within a state of it, the only thing outside ourselves we ever needed to begin with. Truth and perspective.
