Yes.
We had just sold our business and bought our house out right so we didn't have a mortgage and took 2 years off work to do as we pleased.
We had planned to be mortgage free by the time we were 55, we did it by the time we were 44.
Then we decided to get employed in case employers thought we were too old to employ.
My husband went back to engineering and I went to college and did my City and Guilds in IT and now have levels 1,2 and 3 in 6 modules all with distinctions and I am now a doctors receptionist.
So yes 10 years ago was good to us as we changed our lives.

The world, well England, was better when we were being bombed by the Germans than it is now, with all these laws and restrictions that we have to put up with.
