My reason for being upset with him and boycotting his movies is that he bashed on Brooke Shields for sharing her story about how she sought treatment for her post pardum depression. How he claimed that he knew the history of psychiatry and about the dangers of medications. He is not a doctor and is in fact a high school drop out. When there are people like Andrea Yates around that killed her children due to problems post partum I think it should be obvious that problems post partum are a problem and dangerous. I think it was really irresponsible for Tom to advocate not to take medications that are lifesaving for mother and child. Also he is promoting a Cult that insists mentally ill people do not take medication or go to psychiatrists.

Lets look at its from Hubbards view when he wrote the religion. Hubbard was mentally ill himself and when hubbard wrote this religion medications for the mentall ill were not very good and mentally ill people were treated like animals. This is not true now thankfully. Medication has come a long way and so has care for mentally ill people. Even very ill ones.

Okay just answer if your do not like him or have stopped going to movies or whatever. Perhaps anger is not correct for everyone. Just if your ideas have changed for anything he has done. It is anything this is just my part of why.

As someone who has been battling manic depression for years, I think it was irresponsible for him to say no one should anti-dpressants. They have kept me from killing myself. Also his acting has gotten SOOO BAADDD!!!!!! I saw War of the Worlds
and he STUNK!! I won't be going to anymore of his movies he thinks he's greater than he is.

Yep 1 dangerous man, he's aware that people take what he says as gospel, when they shouldn't but still fails 2 curb his tongue!
Scientology is a fairly new religion, they tend 2 go thru this.
I know it's not applicable here but Madonna & her Kabala cult R badgering the UK Government, making a real nuisance of themselves with some magic de-radiation liquid. She took it upon herself 2 B head spokesperson.

I have boycotted all of his movies and will never see another one. Many reasons- His bashing of Brooke Shields for taking anti depressants (is he Dr?), Jumping on Oprahs couch, telling Katie Holmes she had to have a silent birth (Has he ever given birth?),His holier than thou attitude- he;s just a jerk

I don't plan on seeing anymore of his movies. He's not that much of a talent any more - he was a pretty boy who isn't so pretty these days and who never developed as an actor. Plus he's in a cult, he's done something freaky to Katie Holmes, and he is an idiot. He takes himself way too seriously. He's simply not appealing any more. And don't forget, TCLTC.

Tommy "Ratface" Cruise was only repeating what he has been "monitored" to say when asked about medicine. He is just a poor idiot with more fame and attention than anyone with his limited mental faculties could reasonably be expected to handle, doncha know?
Cut him some slack. If you want to hate him because he is a lousy actor, go ahead. If you want to hate him because he is utterly humorless and self-involved, go ahead.
But don't hate him because he is not a doctor and gives medical advice ... that's what half the idiots on this forum do on a regular basis.

well, i am not angry ,but i do hate 'im. kinda. i agree with the P.partum depression meds. I'm a healthcare worker, so i'm all about making ppl feel better. I hate 'im for the silent birth. I feel really bad the girl, oh yeah , katie holmes

Tom Cruise is a rotten actor..so I do not see his movies...he's such a show off and riding high......I like down to earth actors/actresses.
