I don't want people to go into this folder and I need to set a password for it. Any ideas?

I'm not trying to hide anything, well not from my husband. He is the one that wants to set a folder up with a password. There are thinks we just don't want people to get into.

ok right click on the folder highlight sharing and securtiy. then check the little box that says make this folder private. choose a password and u are done the folder is now private

you dont have to download anything create a compressed folder (right click) and set password(right clck while in it it will ask u for a password every time u go there

just right click on it and go to properties/security
also try tools options and personalize all of your folder and file settings, you can turn on/off view hidden files ("show hidden/system files") and just hide it instead of passwording it. To affect individual files in this mannor right click on the file and go to properties and click the next tab over and click the box on hidden.

You can set individual user accounts in WIN XP this means so long as the user hasn't admin privliges they cant open your folder
