Go to taco bell, get a handful of each hot, fire, and mild sauce. Squeeze each packet into a Chalupa shell, sit on it and wiggle around on it for a few minutes. Once you are done, it shouldn't smell like mildew any more.

If you have no washing machine and can't afford to go to the laundry mat, then I would suggest washing them out in the bath tub.
But it sounds like maybe your problem is that you are not allowing your jeans to completely dry in an open area.
Hang them outside in the fresh air. And make sure that you are getting all the soap out of them however you are washing them.
I would let you use my washer/dryer if you were close enough cause that would be a bummer not having one.

Turn the jeans inside out and try soaking them for about fifteen minutes in laundry detergent and warm water. Make sure you mix the detergent in with the water first, because if it's powdered detergent it will leave residue on the jeans. If they have dirt on them, scrub the dirty parts, but be careful because the dye may lighten in certain areas if you do it too rough or too much. Ring them out as hard as you can (twist the water out), then shake them out to loosen wrinkles. Hang them over a door or in the bathroom to dry. I do this whenever I have jeans that I cannot wash in the machine. Hope this helps!!

If you don't have a washing machine, and no $$ to go to a laundry mat, then denim is NOT your friend.
Try linen pants.

Its not how your washing them . They smell like mildew cause of the way your drying them. If it takes too long to dry them they get that smell. Try hanging them outdoors somewhere instead of inside.

Hang them outside to dry. The fresh air will eliminate the mildew smell. You can also spray them with Febreeze.
