i'm jobless at the moment and am slowly replacing the brakes and stuff on my truck with plasma donation money. i got the cheapest brakes i could get, but my problem is one rotor looks like a frisbee and the other is pretty much untouched. i only want to replace one rotor untill i get a job. i'm pretty sure if i search i'll find out how to get it off i just need somewhere cheap to get a replacement rotor for cheap. i have a 92 ford ranger, 2wd v6 4L. i live in columbus ohio and need somewhere cheap to get one. plese help.

Napa online shows a Trustop brand for $38.99. You might beat that by a dollar or two at another parts store, but that's about as low as it gets.

You could check and see if a machine shop can turn the rotor for about $7, but since it looks "like a frisbee," it is probably grooved too much to machine and still be thick enough to be in spec. But still worth a shot.

Cheapest rotors can probably be found at a junkyard and have it resurfaced at a machine shop.

Other than that kragens would be the cheapest to buy new.

go to local junk yard and get one from either a ranger two years older or one two years newer.you dont need to replace both.. otherwise auto zone is always the cheapest..

a new rotor isnt but about 28 bucks. when it comes to brakes i dont believe i want to be cheap.
