The only thing you'll want to pick up with the ipod, besides the extended service plan/ replacement plan, is the usb wall charger. The ipod itself will come with the usb syncing/charging cable, what the wall charger does is enable you to charge your ipod through any ac outlet. Using ac power to charge the ipod will give you a faster charge too.

Don't get an Ipod. Get and MP3 player by CreativeLabs. I have the Creative Zen 8 meg. MP3 player. I've had it since last Nov. and haven't had one prob. with it. It works great, no problems. Doesn't break or freeze, but my bother has an Ipod and he's had to take it back twice. Mine was cheaper and has a bigger hard drive. Plus I can just plug it into my Auxillery port in my car and the cable only cost me 5 bucks and it also has a stereo and Ipod doesn't. You don't have to waste a ton of money for all the extras like Ipod.

No you don't really need anything else. It comes with all the basic stuff: earphones, iTunes installation disc, and the usb cable to coneect it to your computer so you can add music and charge it.
You just might want to buy a charger if you ever go anywhere without a computer.

When you buy an iPod, they give you the cord that connects it to the computer and a set of earbuds. If you want, you can get car chargers, skins..., but you really only need a computer, the cord that comes with it, earbuds that come with it and the iPod.

no just the ipod. but if you want to buy a little extra then you could get the portable charger that plugs into the wall outlet. or some skins & crap like that but i didnt and my ipod is just fine.

you have to have itunes to get an ipod. But other than that nope. earphones come with the ipod and if you lose those you can use any ear buds i think.
