Not all white people is scared of black people... I think some white people is more afraid if they had a problem with someone black before or from what they see on the news. The media could really makes black people look bad.

I live in Los Angeles, most black people want whites to be afraid of them. They run around saying "the n word" all the time and won't even look at you if you smile and say hi. I used to live in North Carolina and the dynamic there was very different but worse because the southern hicks still hold a grudge because they lost to the Confederates. The whole situation sucks, I wish we could all just get along.

As a white person, I would not say I am "scared" of black people. It is people that act like THUGS. Be they black, white, hispanic...it doesnt' matter. I live in a community that is very racially mixed, so I know what I am talking about. (my city is only one square mile and includes many races and cultures, so it isn't like I live in Los Angeles near the rich folk and think I know what South Central is like)
It is about the way a person ACTS. (in some respect, the way they look) If a person is "strutting" or loudly using foul language, it is intimidating and can be frightening.
But when a person approaches, speaking in a non-threatening voice, there is no fear whatsoever.

Some people as you put it.. are afraid of the black race. Most white is generalizing from your point of view. As for me personally, I am afraid of a persons actions that are dangerous , not based on race. The people that are afraid because of someones race may have been raised that way, and never experienced a cultural blend in their life. In today's world it is hard to believe this exists, it still does, but I wouldn't say by most.

Not scared...vigilant for good cause....
You walk down a sidewalk in town one evening and a group
of black guys comes walking toward you the opposite direction
on the sidewalk.....You are vigilant for good reason..
If the group is white, you ignore them and don't worry...
Bill Cosby tells that story....

People are people. Colour doesn't come into it. Why would I be scared of someone just because they have a better tan than mine?

I think it is in the way they were raised. I know my husbands parents made him think bad about blacks and my family was very different and I do not feel that way. I must say I can't stand racist people.
