Chances are good that they will not cover the problem unless it is associated with a covered casualty such as a flood. If your house has had mold for a long time because of damp and humid conditions, the problem is yours. Their view is that you have the responsibility of maintaining your home. If you are negligent in your upkeep, they are not responsible for damages.
In the end, you need to talk to your insurance agent for an explanation of coverage.

Mold is a real hot subject and a very serious problem. Some policies will cover it others not. I know someone who is an expert in mold and is often called to testify in court about mold.

it depends on if it is a pre-existing condition. They may pay to have the mold removed... but not cover putting the drywall back up, paint, labor etc....
