Tell people what you are going to do and then do it. This process will take time - you only gain respect by earning it. Don't give up - a person's trust is a very valuable thing.

Be straight and strong. If you say anything, it's something you truly believe. If you make any promises, follow through even though it is hard or inconvenient

Everyone goes through that. It's called learning. When you reach the point where you feel confident and CAN TRUST YOURSELF to follow through on things, you'll notice other people will trust you too.

Most important is what you think of yourself. Good luck.

The question is why don't people trust you, if you are an individual who cannot be trusted that could be the problem. Think about that for awhile.

you can't get strangers to trust you. and some people just are so charming and innocent but they are not, and some are just gullible. Better try to earn your trust from friends and family by always being reliable and doing what you say you are going to do (only good deeds though)!
