You can also go to USPS.com. It'll save you a trip to the post office.

Have a vacation hold put on your mail and fill out the dates you want the hold for. You can probably get the information on-line and download a form to give to your mail carrier or ask him/her for one.
It is quite easy to do! You may want to go in the post office and fill out the form there.

Go into your local post office. They have a small postcard for you to fill out. It takes less than 2 minutes (minus standing in line).

just call the main post office in your city and get them your address and why?? you need them to hold your mail. that is all you need to do.
