That's good, as you will always remember these first few days. Keep a journal or diary, along with a strict schedule.

Also, after the first week or so, sidle up to each of your teachers/professors, and ask what is required to ace their class. Impart your burning desire to do whatever it takes to excel in their class.

And then, do it!

Congratulations! Yes, college will be a new and different way of life for you. The flip side of the coin, where one side is "nervous," the other side is..."excited!" College is so much more interesting than high school. New ideas, different time schedule, more resources for learning. Get together with new "friends" from your classes and form a study group; you all will have things in common, and this is a fun way to learn. You'll enjoy college. Study hard, do your best, and don't be afraid to learn new things. Good luck!

Oh! We're in the same boat. I think everyone is nervous about going a new school no matter where it is. Actually I've checked out several schools, most kids there have changed for the better. Everyone is a lot more friendly and easy to get along with. Hope you enjoy college :)

Same here. Im starting college on Wednesday but Im actually really excited. I honestly think that college is going to be the most interesting and exciting years of our lives. Think of it as a fresh start. No one knows who you are or where you came from. No one's gonna judge you based on your past because no one even knows about your past. Don't worry. You'll be fine. And if its making friends that youre worried about, seriously, dont be. People in college and universities are much more friendly than highschoolers. Imagine- no more drama. no more cliques. no more yucky cafeteria food. no more gossip. no more 'friends' talking behind your back.
And if its the classes youre worried about..obviously it is going to be a bit more challenging than high school. But high school is the reason were going to college..these past 12 years were the years that prepared us for the rest of our lives including college. I recommend going to RATEMYPROFESSOR.COM and checking out all your teachers before you register for a class..i did that with all my professors and now i have awesome professors.

It's gonna be great and Im sure youll do fine. GOOD LUCK!
