I'm not far away in Canada and I view it as a misrepresented country with a nasty foriegn policy. We are your closest friend and you despotically went against NAFTA and choked Canada's soft-wood lumber trade. (Our largest natural resource). Let alone being defiant to every other country in the UN by veto'ing for pure economic gain. And also throwing yourselves into double the debt you were in before the Bush administration. Clinton brought you out and Bush put you all the way down to the Reagan mark. GO GO REAGONOMICS!
Anyways, the embargo of Cuba and the penalization of Cuba is a horrible practice that's nearly 40 years old and is against human rights laws. Did anyone know that Cuba pledged 3 million dollars to the New Orleans rebuilding fund? This is after all you've done for their country (Amphibiously invade them at the bay of pigs and attempt an assasination on Castro nearly 600 times. EVEN THOUGH Castro is a 98% popular dictator). Cuba has a lower infant death rate than America and a higher quality of healthcare. They're not a 3rd world country like CNN and FOX tells you.
STOP OPRESSING THE WORLD AND THE WORLD WILL NO LONGER HATE YOU!

As an American living abroad, it's pretty interesting to observe. First, a lot of people where I live (Germany) hate Bush and can't understand how he got elected. Further, they can't relate to how religion and morals were made so political in recent elections. They mostly think Americans are great people and very willing to help out their neighbors around the world. German's are particularly grateful for the post WWII help the nation received. Bad sadly, the goodwill many Europeans harbor is eroding as Bush pushes his agenda to attain short-sighted goals(i.e. ignoring the Kyoto treaty at the apparent bequest of industry, plundering Iraq's old fields, etc.)

I'm from the US and I can say that I don't like the way the government has been doing things lately.
A pen pal from outside the country wanted to know why we keep doing crazy things.
