God has many names (in Christianity). He is considered hundreds throughout the Bible. Here are a few:

Alpha and Omega, Omnipitant, Father, Creator, Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Savior, Jehovah Jira (My Provider), Yahweh, Adonai, Chief Cornerstone, I AM.

There are so many more but these are the ones that mean the most to me and that describe God of who He is.
Naming in the Bible was taken seriously and these are names that are meaningful and full of the Love God created and continues to pour upon his people.

If your minister husband told you this, and if the answer was cute, God's name must be Andy.

At least that's what I thought as a kid -- because we'd sing: "Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me, Andy tells me..."

His name and image is not allah or God...those are just titles as to WHO God is...He has given Himself but one name, and that is The Lord Jesus Christ... for He (Jesus) was the FULLNESS of God in a Human Body. The Bible says That God poured Himself into Jesus without measure. Read the 1st chapter of John and you will see the great mystery of who God was and what His name is. be Blessed!

I agree with one of the replies.. your answer depends on to whom it is asked.

1) Muslims- Allah
2) Christians- God
3) Jews- God/Yahweh

There are other names for eastern religions, too.I don't know them off the top of my head. You could "Google" your search and find answers to Hindus, Buddhists, Native Americans, etc.

It depends on the language you speak. Yaweh, Allah, God, Jesus, Brahma, the Great Void -- these are all names for the Ultimate Truth in different religions.
