I remember the greasers as the guys who wore their hair combed back, in a jelly roll, or a ducktail. They used products in their hair that left grease spots on their pillowcases. These greasers were later contrasted with the southern California look of the Beach Boys who bucked the greaser look.

I did.....I was about 8 years old in 1960....had a brother who was a greaser......D.A. hair style....

To Bhusta....I learned to first program computers in 1970 in binary! I bit my teeth on systems that had a massive 4 k ram! I probably have forgotten more than you will ever know about them! I learned every friggin programming language there was! You need to stop bein a puke and be thankfull for us old duffs or you would still be playin in the sandbox!

yes and yes they did dress as portrayed in movies , had two uncles that were greasers pretty hunky id say!

You mean as a social group? Yes. They really did look like they're portrayed in films--duck's @ss hair, cigarettes rolled up in sleeves, leather jackets, blue jeans, souped up cars.
