Husband takes three different kinds of anti-seizure meds(to help control seizures). This is very embarrasing, but I need to ask, is the semen harmful to me? can it cause vaginal infestions?

"Infestions" aka infestations are only caused by living organisms.
Very few drugs pass themselves through the semen. They may effect the sperm itself (count, deformity).
Anti-seizure medications like clonazepam, carbamazepine, depakote, etc, are sometimes contraindicated during pregnancy or breast feeding, but there is no evidence of a woman 'getting a dose' from her sex partners semen.

Medications taken by your husband may be found in micro amounts in his semen. I cannot believe that the level would be high enough to cause any effect if it were absorbed, say, in your vagina or in your mouth, unlike breast milk where this would be a consideration. Further, I cannot see any relationship between seizure medication and an infection.

No and no, you will not get vaginal infestations of the medicine from him. If you continue to worry about this, talk to his doctor about it to put your worry to rest, it's really not embarrasing to ask his doctor either. No doubt, the doctor has already heard this question before.

The semen is not harmful to you and will not cause you to have a vaginal infestion.

his semen is not harmful to you unless pregnancy kills you. If he was on chemo or radiation for a cancer or something then maybe. but no way from siezure meds any more than you can catch a seizure disorder from him. (and you can't, by the way.)

I am not sure what he is taking but No!!! Semen is not contaminated by this type of drug... On the other hand if you are trying to get preg... I would call a Doc.

unless it is a side effect that is told to u or other wise stated on the meds, then if it isnt then im going to say it safe. but just in case ask a doctor. but im sure it wont hurt u

very good question, my b/f takes seizure medicine also and i never thought of that, but i have a question also, does his seizure meds cause infertility

No it will not hurt you.
He on the other hand may end up with erectile dysfunction from the drugs he is on though.

Not harmful at all. The liver breaks them down before temp. storing them in fat cells....have fun!!!
