gas prices are dropping like a rock? Is the reason not many people know why because the news is not broadcasting it because it is not bad news and that it is not hurting Bush?

I've seen it all over the news about gas prices going down, they always do this time of year. Plus we are already being overcharged due to the expansion of gas when it's hotter and the pumps are not adjusted for it so they are probably adjusting for that a little too. You know it's really amazing that they got us programmed into thinking that $2.49 a gallon is cheap, just a few short years ago it was an outrage when it hit $2.00 a gallon. It was unheard of and now look at us. We are in hog heaven as long at it isn't $3.00, it isn't too bad right? Oh BUSH, what a great time you've given us.....sigh...... I can't wait to see them dragging you kicking and screaming out the White House door.

We used to pay less than $1.50/ gallon not too long ago and now the price dipped bellow $3/gallon, and we supposed to be happy? Then again, I still believe we are paying too little for gas. The gas price should be raised to $8/gallon comparable to western europe via taxes while lowering the middle class income taxes, so that the middle class would get no extra burden. This would be the real incentive to save gas and give green technology a chance to thrive.
Controlling how much I am paying for taxes while saving the environment. What else can be better than that?

Because there is a ton of bad economic data from the government showing how awful working- and middle-class Americans are being treated by our cruel economy; this is just another masterful manipulation by the Bush administration; economic elites and aristocrats are probably getting a little nervous about a massive revolt by all the non-rich people getting royally screwed.

There is a pattern in fuel prices that has been in place for over 50 years.
After labor-day travel drops off and transportation fuel prices go down
Home heating fuels go up as the winter approaches.
Most Redpublicans invest in fuels We buy transportation in the Spring sell it now and buy Heating Fuel stocks. Sell that when winter is over. It is just simple business.
This is just one of the reasons that I think most Redpublicans on this forum are poser Repubs. How could you not know fuel investment strategies and be a Redpublican.

Oil companies have a screen to their prices flying high. They can say that this or that got destroyed or that international conflicts are opressing their companies. But the numbers come rolling in year after year and governments aren't stepping in because they're benefiting.

Maybe, but it is probably just because all you have to do is look at gas station prices to realise that they are going down.

It is because summer is ending so car travell rates are going down so the prices go down to boost more sales.

Becuase we are nearing the mid-term elections, and it makes the people happy, which means politicians get to stay in office.
