Lame... Why do people bring stupid, biased nonsense like this up? Have you ever even been to America? Really, that question is irrelevant. America is so diverse that you can go a hundred miles in any direction and find different kinds of people, different kinds of land, and different kinds of lifestyles.
I'm sure Canada is probably similar in that respect, so taking both America and Canada, lumping together your little, insignificant amount of knowledge of them both and pitting them against each other in this stupid question is an act of complete ignorance.
Ugh

I am Canadian and Proud!!! We have a better government, health care and people of all races, religions and economic status' are treated EQUALLY. The USA has better vacation spots though for the winter months. USA's 'freedom of Speech' act still allows Klu Klux Klan rallies whereas in Canada we take that as an act of Prejudice and it is unlawful. And no we don't all speak french, lol, just like Americans take Spanish in school we have to take basic french.

Definitely, Canada is the place to be. We have paid health care, our choice of doctors. We have beautiful weather in the summer (90 degrees or higher). Granted our winters are cold but they don't last long and the ground is covered in snow. We have a great education system. We have lots of things to do and see. Racial discrimination is almost nil. We have every ethnic group living here and lots of diversity.

Why do so many Canadians ask this question? Every country has its high points and low points, but it is like comparing apples to oranges when comparing Canada to the US. There are such vast differences in type of goverment, land mass, population size, economic size, etc., that a viable comparison is not possible.

As a very patriotic American I have to admit that Canada does have some social advantages over us. That being said, though, I also believe that Canada owes America a great debt of gratitude. The only way a prosperous culture such as theirs can exist in this world with a military as deficient as theirs is with the presence and support of a powerful and non-aggressive neighbor.
Canada may have its advantages, but it is only thanks to its neighbor that it can enjoy them.

Everything depends on one's point of view, I've never lived in America so how could I judge. We're both democracies, we both have freedom of speech, religion, education and so on. Pretty good place to be right now.

Nope because it's full of Canadians, many of whom speak French (ugh!). America is full of Americans, therefor it would be the better place.....for me anyway. Would love to visit Canada tho.
