What should I do about my BFF?

I have this friend who right now I can't stand. Last year, we moved here in the beginning of the school year at he same time, so we became friends and stuck together like glue. This year we started high school, we are in this college program, thing that is REALLY hard. Beginning from last year she was starting to annoy me and this year it got worse. Last year in the cafeteria, she never wanted me to sit with anyone but her, until she got this group of friends "cooler" than me, then she would ditch me everyday to sit with them, another thing is she would get mad at me for nothing, and start these stupid childesh fights. An example of this is this year, I was talking to this mutual friend of ours and she butted in, I kind of kept talking and she refused to talk to me because I "ignored" her. Then I was going to the movies with 2 friends she doesn't know that I haven't seen in a while she insists on coming, then when I talk to them more than her, she gets mad and complains to my mom!

It's hard for me to break contacts with her, because we ride the same bus and we have a lot of mutual friends. Plus she's not someone you can just shake off, our parents are close, and like after that thing with complaining to my mom, she called my house and started crying to my mom, apoligizing. I think she needs to grow up though, there is pretty much nothing under the surface, if there is anything in my life that I talk to someone else about and not her, she's upset, because I know mostly everything about her, when she goes I HAVE A SECRET she usually means she crushing on someone, when I have serious problems. It's hard for me to ditch her because she's like EVERYWHERE and I don't have many close friends, so I'll have no one to talk to. Even though, she has no idea what I'm talking about and she usually doesn't want to listen anyway.

Your friend needs to grow up a little bit. I used to be like that untill Irealized how stupid I was being. Don't just ditch her, but don't let her keep you from doing what you want either. Good luck!

I have a friend JUST like yours. Kinda scary too.

She is always hanging out with the popular groups, movies, going to the park, even on the internet, totally ignoring my friends and I.

Then she comes up to us at random times saying we should all hang out... after all, aren't we best friends?

Uh, yeah, a year before...

My point is that I don't talk to her anymore. I didn't use the best method to drive her out of my life (I just ignored her like she did with me) but you should talk to her. It doesn't seem she appreciates your friendship anymore and you can't change that. Say if she doesn't want yours, you don't want hers anymore. Good luck.

This is typical young girl stuff. She pretty much wants you all to herself and doesn't want to share you with anyone, but wants to be able to do what she wants. You have to be the one to decide where your friendship is going to go and what you are going to do. If you decide to stay friends with her, lay out some ground rules.

well you need to have a serious heart to heart talk with her and confront her.ask here why she is so different around others and when it comes to you and your other friends she thinks she has to be number one. and then tell her you disapprove of her acting that way. or call her on her actions in front of her other friends. goodluck
