I'd go with a dell, even one of the cheaper ones is great usually. I have a dell and ive had it for like 5 years and it stays on all the time and I have had no problems what so ever. Dell also has a new computer line they've come out with that looks promising if you're into gaming and stuff like that. Good luck!

That totally depends on what you want to use it for! If you are looking for a kick butt gamer I would suggest building your own! As games evolve, computers off the shelf are less likely to play them!

gateways or dells are good and I heard that some of the new emachines are also good
