It won't hurt your laptop, but if you have the battery in, it will hurt the battery. Take the battery out, and run the laptop off line current.

The constant charge and discharge may cause harm to your battery. If possible, when using AC adapter, remove the battery.

Don't take out the battery that runs your laptop. if the power goes down you'll loose all your recent work. check you computer and see if it has a facility for conditioning your battery.
Most manufacturers recommend draining your battery every 3 months and fully recharging again

good luck

No, it will not hurt your laptop any. She will be fine and you will have a long lasting relationship with her. Although she likes to be touched remember to be gentle. She doesn't want you to know but she is looking forward to Windows Vista. She thinks it's so sexy and you will like her more because of it.
