I feel that I am but I certainly get strange looks and reactions.

I have always liked the free spirit personality. Some call it Bohemian. The old movie Auntie Mame, based on a book, was a free spirit type of woman. In nature when you see a wild stallion running, never been bridled, there is such beauty in the movement.
A free spirit can adapt to many environments and take on challenges in life with such zeal.
Long as you can temper that spirit with some discipline, not cause harm to yourself and others, don't worry about the strange looks and reactions, many times those people wish they could have that spirit.

I've been a free spirit all my life, and am doing quite well......thank you! Who would want to be anything but?

No, as long as you do not do harm to yourself and to others. Life is meant to be enjoyed and to be learned from.
