If you point two guns at each other and make the two barrels touch, then fire what would happen?

For the purposes of your question, I'm assuming they're the same make, model, caliber, barrel length, loaded with the same type of ammo, etc. If you could fire both of them at the exact same time, the bullets, assuming you could clamp them to the point that the pistols wouldn't move under recoil, the bullets would collide with each other exactly at the end of the barrels, where they were touching. The ends of the barrels would probably "rose petal" if not at least create a bulge. More than likely, there would be shrapnel and spral flying everywhere and you'd have to lumps of metal not worth anything more than papeweights. Unless you were lucky and could get them rebarreled. Sometimes the frame will get damaged too.

Depends on the calibre, and how you had the guns mounted.
Assuming you could mount them so there was no recoil, for small arms you'd probably end up with some scaulded mechanisms and barrels with hefty dents in them as the bullets collided and delfected in different directions.
If you just fired one gun and not the other then you'd have one messed up gun and one with a damaged barrel.
I'd like to see two M2HB 50 calibre's put together and fired this way .. could be entertaining if you hooked up a 2000 fps camera.

They would fly apart and probably be sorta wreaked. You could never fire both simutaniously unless you had some pretty high tech equipment. If you were able to fasten them down enough so they wouldn't just take off you'd probably get some stuff to blow up all over. Unless you've got tons of time and money I wouldn't even try it, and if you do, whatever you do don't stand anywhere near it.
