I'd love to visit the England of Jonathan STrange and Mr Norrell, where magic just is and the North of England is ruled by the King of the Faeries, which hasn't been seen for 500 years. Or has he?

Easy: Philip Jose Farmer's World of Tiers.
What? Never heard of it? It inspired Roger Zelazny to write his Amber series, and, to my eye, is more fascinating than Amber ever was. (Farmer also came up with the Riverworld and Dayworld, both of which are more interesting than most published worlds are.)
The World of Tiers looks like this: Picture a wedding cake several times bigger than the Earth. Each layer is a different world, and one can climb from one to the next, though the cliffs are much larger than Mt. Everest, and constitute whole worlds in their own right. The bottom layer is a large "garden of Eden" area. The next level up -- my favorite, and probably Farmer's -- is the Amerindian plains level, where tribes of half-horses (imagine Native American centaurs) roam.
The potential of the world as an interesting place to live or visit is nicely captured by Farmer's protagonist, Kickaha, who lives a different life on each level. On one level, he's a knight; on another, he's a famous trickster; and so forth.
I've read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy. I like Middle-Earth, and Narnia, and (more than those two) George R.R. Martin's Westeros. I have marvelled at Larry Niven's Ringworld, which has more room in it than the World of Tiers does (3 million times the surface area of the Earth, as I recall). But really, if I could explore any place I've read about, it'd have to be the World of Tiers. It has less room than Ringworld, but far more variety. And nothing else comes close.

Narnia. Definitely Narnia. After that whole snow thing. Not before. Or maybe Middle Earth. After that whole ring thing.

The city, from Scott Westerfeld's Uglies-Pretties-Specials trilogy. It would be fun.
