Y2J (year 2000 is Jericho) was given to Chris Jericho as a gimic when he first signed with the WWE. It was the turn of the century so they decided on the gimic. It's not as deep as you think; it's just a nickname that they thought was catchy when he was signed.

It used to mean Year 2000 is Jericho, now it means Yes To Jericho. He was given the name by WWF writers when he left WCW for WWF. He came in and said "I will be the new revolution for the World Wrestling Federation" hyping the fact that 2000 would be Jerichos year.
