I used to have dreams of planes crashin, every night for about two weeks, but they wernt always the same.In each dream i would be watchin the sky when i see oneo rmore planes crash, i was never in the plane, and the scene always altered, as did the plane, and situation etc. The dreams stopped for a while, but then came back, however this itme i was IN the crashing planes. Thesedreas didnt recure for as long as before, but even now i still get plane crash dreams every now and again. Seein as dreams are just a way for your unconcious thoughts to manifest themselves, anyone got an insight into my unconcious? xx

acctually, the current theory on dreams is that they are random firing segments of information in your mind. THerefore they mean nothing, your mind is just trying to make sense of the segments, even though they mean nothing. But if you were to take the psychoanalytical approach to this, they would say that your unconcious is telling you that you feel out of control that you have no control over your fate. In fact that you are just a standby of watching your future crashing down. when you were watching the planes crash it was as if you saw disaster and you couldnt help it, of the fact of someone you know was destroying their lives and u saw it but knew there was nothing you could do about it. I hope taht helps!

this is going to seem an odd question but I am going to ask because it might make you think in a different way about dreams... During the time you are asleap is there some 'workings' going on outside even quite far away from where you live, is there a TV you can hear? The mind does focus into those things we recognise, in this case the sound of planes and crashing. Would someone have the tumble dryer on and then be washing the dishes, someone up earlier than you?
Work out the sound that could make you dream about planes, then you night have the answer... Let me know if it works.

It appears that people often dream about being in a plane crash, witnessing a crash, or being bombed or shot at from planes. Airplanes, like all other vehicles, symbolize a portion of your life's journey. The part of your life which is represented is usually a memory, material from your unconscious mind, or something that is physically far away from you. Since we use planes to travel to places that are far away, the logical progression of this interpretation is that the airplane is symbolic of an event, individuals, or emotions that are either in the past, physically apart from you, or deep in the unconscious and far from conscious thought. Disturbing dreams in which you are being bombed or where you see a bloody crash scene may be trying to bring up issues and feelings that have been buried in the unconscious mind (from the past or the present) but are still powerful and disturbing to the dreamer. The more powerful, vivid, and disturbing this dream is, the greater the necessity to interpret and obtain a satisfactory meaning.

The message of “plane crash” dreams always is the same. It’s time to rescue your self from feelings of being in a “free fall” by taking concrete steps to reassert your goals and values. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Your nervous plane ride dreams show you are anxious to get back on course.

You just might be afraid of a plane crash, whoever it might be or who with. And considering everything that has gone in the past, nobody wants to be the one on the plane. Less people have gone on trips because of terrorist attacks and things that look like it. Everyone is staying home and being with their families, if they must fly out , they do. But all is said and done, when September comes.

You probably have plane crash dreams when you feel that things are happening that you have no control over but you want them to stop. These are usually anxiety dreams

You may be seeing something bad coming and feel unable to stop it. Like a test or first day of school/work.
