Get fish. Even the best dog can mistake a small child as prey. There is actually a reported death from a baby being killed by a wiener dog. Cats are not exactly completely trustworthy with little kids either. Stick with fish, babies love them.

I reccomend adopting an animal. If you can't find a dog that is very friendly and baby-okay, then get a hamster, or fish. Something in a cage that does not make a lot of noise : DD

a fish..Im sure your daughter will have fun watching it in a aquarium.
I dont think it'll be safe to get a dog or a cat while your baby is 7 mos old ,you never know what animals can do.
When my brother was a baby and was left in his stroller by our grandma, our dog was licking him soo bad that if my mom didnt run to him. We dont know what might have happened..

a small animal like birds, fish etc. as they wont require as much attention as a dog as i am sure you daughter gets loads of your attetion so you will have less to give a pet. and dont let her play with them as babys and young chrildren can hurt or stress pets.

seven months is young. If you must get a pet, probably your safest bet is a Dog. I would suggest a Lab though. They are very patient. my kids pull on my labs ears and tale and she has never growled. Also females are less Territorial.
no cats, they smother baby's!

well you shouldnt get any animals at this point in my opinion. and dont get her a cat. shell probably be way to rough. i would say you should get a puppy. when she at least one year old. MAKE SURE ITS NOT PART CHOW. i got attacked by a chow mix a week ago. they may seem nice but they can quickly turn on you. so thats my advice.

I would get a kitten because kittens are so playful and there is no way that it could possibly hurt the baby if u had the kitten declawed.

think 6years old that is when they can feed the thing and not pull it apart.

A professionally trained lab or retriever, or a fish, they are fun to look at.
