There should be a little icon by your clock on the taskbar on the bottom of your screen, try double clicking on it, dissabling your internet connection, and they enabling it again. Hope that helps.

Restarting should not be necessary...do as suggested and just get off line and go back on...you need to contact you internet service provider(ISP) and discuss this with them. It has something to do with --mmm...pretend you are your computer. Your ISP recognizes you for an hour and gets you your pages. Then for some unknown reason it does not see you jumping up and down anymore so it does not do what you want...your ISP needs to tell you how to fix that..or someone wiser than Me...write down exactly what the message is and call (if you are that lucky) or email them with exactly what the message is on the page....especially any number.

I assume you are using Internet Explorer? Try installing another browser: www.getfirefox.com

If the other browser doesn't help, I would need more information to help since there could be a thousand different things to check. Of course the easiest thing to do would be to re-install windows.

If your friend does not lose their internet connection, then its not your ISP. Since you are using a router, its possible the router is causing the problem...try plugging into another port on the router.

Also, how did you check your cable? It might be worth it to use a new one as a test.
