Online friend of mine (he is NOT a stranger, he is my best friend's cousin) exchanged numbers with me only to keep in touch when my internet cuts off...

I asked him what he would do with my number and he told me that all he wants is to keep in touch by "texting once in a while"

Now, he seems to text me quite often, hasnt gone 4 days without texting me, and just now, he came back from work, telling me how his day was.........eventhough i didnt ask! LOL!!
Just casual things like that about his everyday life

I didnt expect this. It doesnt annoy me, i just dont understand what he's up to by texting so "often"-even though he told me he wanted to "drop the odd text now and then" before he took it.

Been friends with him for 8 months now-ive told him directly that i dont wana "talk" to him on the phone because, i just dont.
How come he's doing this? I didnt think this would happen. He isnt a lonely weird old man, hes young and popular, normal.
I just dont know what to think now

You gave your variety, so which you wanted him to call, it is the message that he have been given from you... if he's only too heavy too quickly, and it unnerves you... then substitute your variety... BT will substitute it for loose if this is harassment... and cellular companies will possibly be as sympathetic, so call your provider and clarify the placement... be honest as you have in right here... and say it concerns you and ask in the event that they could they help. each and every person makes silly blunders and blunders of judgement at circumstances, they be responsive to this. except of direction, it secretly pleases you... in spite of the shown fact that this is a danger you're taking, on account which you don't be responsive to something approximately this guy, different than, precisely what he needs you to! And none of this is real in any respect! experienced internet consumer of only approximately a decade...

That's the trouble nowadays, folk spend too much time on the internet that they've lost all their social skills, if they had any in the first place, and their actions are then misinterpreted.

But on a more serious note, if this is his way of hitting on you, he's taking his time about it. And it's like he's checking on you, making sure you're not dating anyone else. Next he'll be waiting at your door for you when you get in pretending he was just passing. He's a stalker in the making. Ignore the calls and the internet contact.

sounds like he wants to take your friendship further, wait a another week or so and see what develops, if he shows signs of wanting more from your friendship but you dont want to take it any further then you just have to tell him how you feel.
sorry, not very good advice i know

guys don't waste their time with women if they don't like them sexually. So, he likes you and is trying to be sly about it. Do you like him or not? If you do, then take the next step. If you don't want to mislead him, then say I only want to be friends, whatever you are thinking. Be honest and kind.
