hmmmm, i dont know any one who will pay you $38 to dine out

Make at least $1.82 every day for 21 days (3 weeks) and you will have $38.22.
You should be able to make $1.82 by picking up and recycling aluminum cans from the trash cans at the park and along the road side. Have a close look where people congregate for change on the ground, or maybe even a stray bill. Check the coin returns of pay phones and news racks. Dig through the couch cushions at home. Ask friends (or strangers) if they have any spare change.

With a VERY good copier. Heck, you should be able to make more than that. How about going for a couple thousand. If you're going to jail, you might as well go for a larger amount than $38 bucks!
