I've been told by Toronto locals that I can just wait in line right before the game, buy some cheapo tickets, then sit in closer seats, since no one checks your tickets. Would you suggest I do this? Or should I purchase tickets beforehand to ensure we get good seats? (Its for my BF's b-day)

If you would like to ensure a good time, please purchase tickets beforehand. Rumours that they do not check tickets are untrue and you will just end up disappointed the Rogers Centre (formerly known as the SkyDome) is quite sticky about their tickets and if someone showed up for the seat you were sitting in.... you'd be ousted... maybe even out of the building.

Anytime the Yankees come to town, stadiums tend to fill up. This game also has quite a bit more meaning because the Yankees and Jays are division rivals. The results of the game could have a lot of influence over the standings. It's a terrific game choice with the pitching match up. You're going to see Joba Chamberlain versus Roy Halladay. Two very good pitchers squaring off. The Jays and their fans are also coming off of a sweep of the Baltimore Orioles, so everyone will be on a high. You got very lucky-- this should be a good game.

My bro' lives in T.O. and you can get a ticket to any game easy. The security guards/ushers are d*ckh**ds about moving down to lower bowl from above though.

You want "good" seats, I'd say but thru ticketmaster.ca.

Wait for the Yankees to come to town that way you would pay to see a really good team play the Blue Jays.

Buy the seats ahead of time and treat him like a King before, during and AFTER the game. Tell him you want to see his birthday suit and drive him wild in it!!
