What did the U.S. Constitution originally say about slavery?
a. The slave trade could not be prohibited for twenty years (that is, until 1808).
b. Slavery could be prohibited in the territories of the United States, but not in the states where it existed.
c. Fugitive slaves who fled to other states were free by virtue of the fact that they no longer lived in slave states.

I am not sure but I think it is B. D makes no sense really, and I heard that if a slave fled to another state and the master caught them then they could be brought back to the slave state. If A were true then the Civil War in my opinion would of happened a lot early. But I am no history teacher but I did make really goods grades in history.
